Wheels of Justice

Thanks for a Great Spring 2008 Tour!

Another Successful Tour Comes to an End

The Spring 2008 tour has come to an end in Luck, WI after 3 months on the road. We had a wonderful tour – first starting in Olympia, WA on February 25, then heading through Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, S. Dakota, Minnesota, and Iowa.

We spoke at over 25 different high schools, 30 college/university campuses, and dozens of faith communities. We were able to make some profound connections with fellow activists trying to make a difference in small towns all across the country. You can read some of our members’ thoughts on the road down below.

Some of the core members of the Wheels of Justice have just spent 3 days together in Luck, WI, on the Anathoth Farm, debriefing and planning towards the future for this bus. We have some exciting new folks involved with the organizing and outreach and you’ll be hearing more from our team in the near future. And some of our earliest veterans are feeling confident and reinvigorated about being a part of where we are headed.

We’ll be laying the groundwork for our fall ’08 tour in the coming weeks. It looks as though we’ll head south through the Midwest in the direction of Tennessee, but you’ll hear more from us as we change gears.

As always, our all-volunteer group relies on the financial support of you! In a cost-cutting effort as well as an act for the environment, we are actively looking to convert our biodiesel bus to run on used veggie oil! If you have interest in supporting this project, or would like to see our bus continue along the road, please send donations to: Wheels of Justice, 740 Round Lake Rd, Luck, WI, 54853.

Thank you so much to all of you who have helped us get this far down the road! I am so honored to be a part of this amazing grassroots effort to bring a nonviolent message of humanity to the far corners of this country.

In solidarity,

Abbie Coburn
